U.S. luger Tucker West has a pretty great dad. When the young Tucker showed interest in luge as a child, his dad, Brett, built him a luge track in his Connecticut backyard. But even the best parents can embarrass their sons sometimes.

Brett appeared on the Today Show on Monday and told millions of people that his 18-year-old Olympian son is totally single and ready to mingle.

“I just want to say to all the ladies out there, Tucker is very single,” Brett said on-air. In an inspired bit of social media marketing, he also told potential suitors to look up Tucker on Facebook.

"Now he's a little shy, so you have to reach out to him," Brett added. Twitter, being ever so helpful, even tried to get the luger a date using the #TeamTucker tag.

Tucker, who placed 22nd in luge, will now have plenty of time to meet some of his fellow Olympians in the athletes' village. And if the stories from previous Olympics are any indication, West might not be single for long.
