Accused sex offender release prompts police alert

Toronto Police have issued a public safety alert after an early childhood educator charged with six sex offences was released on bail. 

Wayne Delroy Henry, 32,  was released after being charged with six sex offences but police believe there could be more victims

Henry is alleged to have sexually assaulted a young girl several times on May 17, 2008, and Jan. 11, 2014.

The Toronto man was arrested on Jan. 14,  2014 and charged with:

-  Two counts of sexual assault.

-  Two counts of invitation to sexual touching.

-  Two counts of sexual Interference.

Police say Henry has worked at various daycares and youth centres in the Greater Toronto Area as an Early Childhood Educator. He has also volunteered at churches as a youth worker, participated in mentoring programs and acted as a soccer coach for young people, according to police.
