Blowing Snow And More Ahead Makes For Messy Commute In Toronto

It’s a messy commute for residents of the Greater Toronto Area today with blowing snow as a concern after about five centimetres of snow fell overnight.

Environment Canada says about two to four centimetres of snow will continue to fall into the late morning today.

High winds of up to 50 km/h in some areas across Ontario could mean blowing snow and possible whiteout conditions.

The snow will taper off by the afternoon and become flurries.

Drivers should allow for extra time due to bad road conditions and reduced visibility.

GO Transit said that due to the snow they advise everyone to leave extra travel time for this morning's commute.

Today’s temperature will reach a high of - 1 C.
