Rob Ford Jumps For Joy Over Canada's Women's Hockey Gold Medal Game

Rob Ford Jumps For Joy

There's nothing Rob Ford loves more than subways and cutting taxes and sports. He looooves sports. During the Sochi Olympics he's tweeted his congratulations to many of Canada's Olympic medal winners. He's worn the jerseys of teams he loves to City Hall. So it's not surprising that Ford was watching today's Canada-USA women's hockey game.

Toronto City Council took a recess during the suspenseful game and this is how Mayor Ford reacted when Canada stormed back from a 2-0 lead and tied the game with a minute left.

Rob Ford wasn't alone in his celebration of course. Prime Minister Stephen Harper tweeted his "elation" at the win.

And he'll be enjoying a case of beer from the White House too.

Canada plays the USA on Friday, in the men's hockey semifinals. We're pretty sure Mayor Ford and the prime minister will be watching too.
