Canada Defeats Britain To Win Men's Curling Gold

Canada defeated Great Britain Friday to take the Olympic gold in men's curling.

Brad Jacobs and his team from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, started strong and never let up, taking down David Murdoch and his team from Aberdeen, Scotland, by a score of 9-3. The British team bowed out after eight ends.

Canada scored three in the third and stole one point in the fourth for a 6-1 lead.

It's double curling gold for Canada in Sochi after Winnipeg's Jennifer Jones won the women's event.

Three different Canadian men's teams have won three straight Olympic titles.

Ryan Fry plays third for Canada, while second E.J. Harnden and lead Ryan Harnden are brothers.
