Doug Ford has accused Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair of repeatedly breaking the law and openly campaigning for his "buddy," mayoral candidate John Tory.
The Toronto councillor was a guest on AM640's The John Oakley Show on Thursday, where he addressed Blair's recent claim that Sandro Lisi, Mayor Rob Ford's former driver and an accused extortionist, told police investigators that their boss was "going to get his" courtesy of Doug Ford.
Blair told The Toronto Star on Wednesday that Lisi informed cops shortly after his arrest that the councillor was plotting an offensive against the chief. About a week later, Doug Ford called for Blair's resignation and accused the chief of a conflict of interest for taking a fishing trip with police services board member Andy Pringle.
Blair also told CP24 on Wednesday he was "deeply offended" by remarks Rob Ford made about him in the infamous Steak Queen video, saying it was "disgusting" to hear the mayor at the beginning of the rant call him a "pretty filthy obscenity."
But Doug Ford laughed off the Lisi story on Thursday and accused Blair of violating the Police Act by discussing an ongoing investigation.
"He kept saying, 'I don't speak on ongoing investigations,' but when it comes to Rob Ford there's two rules: 'I'll speak all day long.' And he just keeps breaking the law," Doug Ford said.
"And who holds this character accountable?"

Doug Ford said he has never spoken with Lisi in his life and doesn't want to. He said Blair's remarks were "payback" for the complaint he made in November to the Toronto Police Services Board over the chief's fishing trip with Pringle, who was once Tory's chief of staff.
But the councillor also questioned why Blair would address the mayor's Steak Queen video rant weeks after it first made headlines. Doug Ford said the chief wanted to wait until "his buddy John Tory" was in the mayoral race.
"He might as well put a John Tory button on his chest and go around there and start campaigning, in my opinion," Doug Ford said.
The councillor told Oakley he may launch another complaint to the Office of the Independent Police Review Director over Blair's remarks.
"He just doesn't stop," Doug Ford said. "No one is holding this guy accountable. He thinks he's in the Wild West, running around, shooting his mouth off any time."
Doug Ford also called Blair the "most political chief" he's ever seen.
"In my opinion it's time for this guy to go," Doug Ford said.
Blair was accused by some of overstepping his authority this past fall by saying at press conference that he was "disappointed," as a citizen, over the contents of a video that appears to show Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine.
"I think it's fair to say that the mayor does appear in that video but I'm not going to get into the detail of what activity is depicted on that video," Blair said.
Doug Ford angrily demanded Blair step down and called the chair of the Police Services Board to demand a probe into the chief's conduct.
"There is obviously a bias right now moving forward in the city with a police chief against the mayor," Doug Ford said at the time.
