EDMONTON - Tyler Santos stopped 20 shots for his third-career shutout as the Edmonton Oil Kings blanked the visiting Saskatoon Blades 3-0 on Sunday in Western Hockey League action.
Cody Corbett, Riley Kieser and Mitchell Moroz supplied the scoring for the Oil Kings (45-16-3), who won for the first time in three outings and regained top spot in the Eastern Conference standings from the Calgary Hitmen.
Troy Trombley turned away 38-of-41 shots for the Blades (16-45-5), who dropped their sixth straight contest.
The two clubs combined for 118 penalty minutes, which included 12 fighting majors. Saskatoon racked up 78 of those minutes and Ayrton Nikkel, Graham Millar and Nick Zajac all received game misconducts in the final minute of the third period.

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. — Coda Gordon and Glenn Gawdin both scored in the shootout as the Broncos edged Brandon to take the season series 5-3.
Andrew Johnson had a pair of goals in regulation for Swift Current (33-24-9), which is 4-0-1 in its last five outings, and Jay Merkley scored once.
Jayce Hawryluk scored twice for the Wheat Kings (31-26-9), who had a three-game win streak halted, and Tim McGauley had the other.
Eetu Laurikainen made 25 saves for the Broncos while Brandon's Jordan Papirny turned away 36-of-39 shots in defeat.

KENT, Wash. — Austin Lotz made 24 saves and Mirco Mueller assisted on each of his club's three goals as Everett downed Seattle.
Carson Stadnyk, Matt Fonteyne and Ivan Nikolishin scored for the Silvertips (33-23-9), who improved to 5-0-1 in their last six contests.
Jaimen Yakubowski scored the lone goal for the Thunderbirds (39-20-6), who lost in regulation for the first time in four games.
Taran Kozun stopped 27-of-29 shots for Seattle.
