Shawn Matthias is the newest member of the Vancouver Canucks, having been traded with goaltender Jacob Markstrom on Tuesday from the Florida Panthers, in exchange for veteran netminder Roberto Luongo.

Wrap your head around this: Florida dealt Luongo to Vancouver for Todd Bertuzzi in 2006. One year later, Bertuzzi was traded for Matthias as part of a multi-player swap. And now Matthias has been traded for Luongo.
