The Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star had the most nominations for Canada's National Newspaper Awards.
The Globe had 14 nominations and the Star had 13, Montreal's La Presse led French-language publications with nine nominations.

The Canadian Press had four nominations while the Winnipeg Free Press, National Post and Calgary Herald got three nominations.
