Our Pop Star Dream Cast For The 'Jem And The Holograms' Movie

Our Pop Star Dream Cast For The 'Jem And The Holograms' Movie
Hasbro

Thursday, March 20, 2014 might just go down in history as one of the most truly, truly, truly outrageous dates in musical history. That was the day that director Jon Chu, producer Jason Blum and talent manager Scooter Braun announced that they were making a live action film adaptation of the cult classic '80s cartoon Jem and The Holograms.

The announcement sparked a tidal wave of giddy nostalgia, glee, and speculation. Will Jon Chu's take on this classic Hasbro cartoon about a young businesswoman and her secret rock star alter ego be a bit more faithful than his last Hasbro cartoon adaptation, "G.I. Joe: Retaliation"?

Or will it at least be more like the admittedly cool and relatively traditional take on the Arashikage ninja storyline in that film and less like whatever The Rock and his pals were cooking the rest of the time? Will Scooter Braun use his music business prowess and connections to line up a star-studded cast and/or soundtrack? Will he enlist his most famous clients, Justin Bieber to make a cameo?

And, most importantly, who will play Jem and The Holograms? Who will play the Misfits?

If you and your Jem Girl friends think you have the answer to any of those questions, Chu and crew are accepting video and image submissions on the film's official tumblr. Song ideas, costume designs and casting suggestions are all welcome.

But you should probably hold off on the latter, because I already have it covered with the following definitive dream cast of pop stars for the project, from Kesha and Britney to Miley and Gaga to Robin Thicke and John Mayer.
