After solving the world's toughest crimes as Sherlock, scaring the crap out of Hobbits and photobombing U2 at the 2014 Oscars, the Brit will be playing Shakespeare's most famous character on the London stage.
The BBC reports that the 37-year-old will play the tragic icon at the Barbican Theatre in London from August to October 2015.
Fans better snag tickets asap because the shows are sure to be hot sellers: the last time Cumberbatch was on stage for the 2011 production of Frankenstein, every single show was sold out.
To whet our appetites for what will surely be a performance to remember, Vanity Fair posted a Twitter photo of the "12 Years A Slave" actor dressed to the nines in a tailored dark grey suit and giving his best tortured artist gaze.
One thing's for sure: Benny will be the best-dressed and best looking Hamlet we've ever seen (sorry, Jude Law!)
