Some of Rob Ford’s most unforgettable sound bites have been repackaged as cartoons in an effort to boot him out of office come election time.
The videos use real audio from Ford’s crack smoking admission, infamous “enough to eat” statement, and patois-swearing Steak Queen visit to charge a campaign to convince voters that “Toronto needs a mayor, not a cartoon character.”
The cartoons are the work of No Ford Nation, a Toronto-based non-profit. The group is also responsible for a series of short-lived fake election signs featuring fictional candidates poking fun at the mayor’s real indiscretions.
“Our goal is to stop and highlight the divisive nature of Ford Nation and the lack of respect this administration has for the rules of City Council and the residents of this city,” No Ford Nation founders Christina and Jason Robins explained in a statement.
The cartoon's first three episode were uploaded to YouTube on Thursday.
