Here's a pissing match we can all support.

Students at the University of Calgary (U of C) aimed to set a world record on Thursday with "#ucalgarygettested," an attempt to enter the Guinness book for the most sexual health screenings in 24 hours at a single venue.

Participants were asked to do an on-site urine test for chlamydia and gonorrhea, two of the most common sexually-transmitted infections (STI).

Tests were sent to doctors at the Students' Union Wellness Centre, which organized the effort. If tests came back positive, they received a phone call and were asked to come in for a follow-up at the centre's medical clinic.

The Wellness Centre claims it unofficially broke the record of 500 people, and is submitting documents to prove it. They expect to hear back in two to three months, CBC News reported.

U of C doesn't have data on how many people have STIs at the school, but Alberta Health Services has said that 72 per cent of chlamydia and 52 per cent of gonorrhea cases involve people under the age of 25, Metro News Calgary reported.
