Scarlett Johansson Perfects Her Blank Face For Vanity Fair

ScarJo Is A Master Of The Blank Face

Well, Scarlett Johansson has officially made the Hollywood blank face her signature move, as seen on the latest Vanity Fair cover.

"The Captain America: The Winter Soldier" star graces the social mag's May 2014 issue wearing a plunging black dress as she gazes, green eyes not quite focused, off into the distance.

The pregnant actress, who's expecting her first child with fiancé Romain Dauriac, has had practice perfecting the pose, which has been copied in fashion photo shoots around the world: she pulled the move on the April 2014 WSJ cover and again for Esquire magazine, when she was named the sexiest woman alive in 2013.

Naturally, her stunning face captivated the author of the Vanity Fair piece, who gushes about the Marilyn Monroe-esque actress in the article:

"She wore open-toed gold mules and an off-the-shoulder gown of pleated pink silk and boobalicious cut—something Lana Turner might have chosen, or Marilyn Monroe—her face pouty-lipped and sultry-eyed, skin and hair as luminously white as the pearls dripping from her ears and wrists and fingers. In front of her, a man with a camera was on his knees, fixing her in his lens, snapping away insatiably. On either side of her and behind her, the buildings of Midtown surged up out of the ground and into the heavens in ecstatic phallic salute. As they should have. She looked ravishing, radiant, sublime, good enough to eat."

We couldn't have said it better ourselves.
