Kate Middleton Finally Wears A Funky Print Dress For New Zealand Play Date (PHOTOS)

Kate Middleton Pulls Out Something Special From Her Closet

After rocking a striking red coat on her first day in New Zealand, Kate Middleton made sure all were eyes on her (and perhaps son Prince George) on April 9.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and their eight-month-old visited Wellington's Government House to meet with parents and their babies (who are around George's age) for an engagement with Plunket, a group which provides free support services for the development, health and wellbeing of children under five.

The event marked baby George's first official engagement, and we think the little Prince (looking dashing in blue Rachel Riley dungaree shorts with a ship on the front) carried off his duties perfectly!

As the future King of England gurgled and cooed his way through the event, Duchess Catherine looked striking in a black-and-white geometric print Tory Burch dress with short tasselled sleeves and a pleated skirt. Before Kate entered the event, the future Queen Consort sported the same MaxMara dress that she wore when she touched down in Sydney earlier this week. (We get it, Kate: we wouldn't want Georgie spitting up on our new dress either!)

The family is currently on a three-week tour of New Zealand and Australia and the princess is expected to wear more than 30 outfits during the trip. Their next event will be a commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War, followed by a state dinner reception where Prince William will unveil a portrait of the Queen.
