Police in New Brunswick are investigating a sudden death after two teenage boys discovered a woman's body in the rural community of Coles Island on Saturday.
A gas station attendant told the CBC's Matthew Bingley two teen boys, around 13 and 14 years old, came in around 4 p.m. and said they spotted a body while geocaching near a bridge.
The attendant said he followed them down to the Canaan River where he found a woman's body face down in the water. She was wearing a jacket, jeans and high heels.
The body has been removed and a medical examiner is scheduled to perform an autopsy.
Police say the woman, 57, was from Wickham. They have not released her name,
A neighbour called Coles Island a quiet area and said he's never heard of anything like this happening.
He said everyone was surprised at Sunday morning's church service.
