CBC Do Crew helps ActionS enfance get moving

There's a big move on the horizon for ActionS enfance and the Do Crew will be there to take on some of the lifting.

ActionS enfance is a volunteer-based foundation that raises money for groups who work with children living in poverty throughout greater Montreal.

Since its creation in 2009, ActionS enfance has helped hundreds of at-risk children by providing both financial and material support to community projects that work with them.

One of its most important fundraisers is coming up. The group holds bi-annual sales that showcase a range of new high-end clothing and goods donated by major suppliers.

ActionS enfance sell these items at a discount and all the proceeds go back to children in need in Montreal.

The sale travels to four different locations over the course of a few weeks.

Next week the CBC Montreal Do Crew will help move the sale from Outremont to Côte-des-Neiges. We need a few extra hands to help load and unload the truck.

Here's what you need to know if you're interested in helping out:

- WHEN:Wednesday April 30 2014 from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

- WHO: Eight volunteers

- WHAT: Help load trucks with bags of clothing and help unload at the other end of the move. We may also help with flyer distribution in the surrounding neighbourhood.

- WHERE:1441 Bernard Street West, Outremont (two blocks south of Metro Outremont)

If you'd like to volunteer or would like to know more, simply get in touch with Monique Lacombe at
