Woman, 36, found injured in east-end industrial section

Police are investigating the discovery of a critically-injured 36-year-old woman Tuesday morning in an isolated industrial section of Montreal's east end.

The woman, who is known to police, was found by a passerby around 5:45 a.m. ET conscious and covered in blood in a cluster of trees by a rail junction at Moreau and Ontario streets. 

She taken to hospital where she is listed as being in critical condition.

Police said the woman is known to police and that it's too early to rule out any causes for her injuries.

Investigators are looking for possible witnesses.
