Boeing 747 makes emergency landing at Mirabel airport

A Boeing 747 was forced to make an emergency landing at Mirabel airport during at test flight this morning, after one of its four engines caught fire.

The fire was quickly put out. 

There were no injuries.  All 14 people on board were members of the test crew. 

Emergency personnel met the aircraft as a precaution. 

The plane belongs to aerospace company Pratt & Whitney.

Mirabel airport spokesman François Asselin says companies frequently test flights at Mirabel, and there are a couple dozen emergency landings at the airport each year.
