WestJet remains tops among Canada's most sought-after companies, as the airline has been named the most attractive employer for the third year in a row.
In naming WestJet, HR services company Randstad cited factors such as its "pleasant work environment, interesting job content, training and strong management," said a news release Thursday.
The title was decided by a survey of over 8,500 workers and job seekers, who helped rank 150 companies.
WestJet was joined in the top five by Bombardier Inc., IBM Canada Ltd., Canadian Solar Inc. and CAE Inc.
Transport and logistics ranked as the most desirable field to work in, followed by high-tech manufacturing, automotive, health care, raw materials and finance.
Survey respondents cited salary and benefits as the most important factors in an employer, followed by job security, a pleasant work atmosphere and a good work-life balance.
