Villeray home invaded by masked intruders

A 17-year-old girl is recovering from shock after a home invasion in Villeray early Thursday morning by four masked intruders.

The incident took place at an apartment on St-Dominique Street between Jarry Street East and Guizot Street East.

The four suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of stolen goods after a brief altercation with the other resident, who Montreal police identified as an 18-year-old male.

“The young man screamed and the suspects fled. The 18-year-old resident grabbed one of the suspects,” said Montreal police Const. François Collard.

Collard said the female victim was taken to hospital to be treated for shock.

A police dog team was involved in the search for the suspects, who remain at large.
