'I'm Not Worth Stealing' Sign Doesn't Stop Thief From Taking Safe

They just never listen.

A thief broke into a woman's basement suite in North Vancouver on April 29 and stole a safe, despite the fact that it had a very clear note attached to it:

I’m not worth stealing. I don’t contain any valuables. I only keep personal and company documents safe from fire.

All that the safe contained was some of the woman's personal papers and items of sentimental value, including old photo negatives and cassette tapes, according to a North Vancouver RCMP news release.

"The thief seems to have ignored this sticker," Cpl. Doug Trousdell said in the release.

"It’s likely that once they get the safe open and find it doesn't contain valuables, they will dispose of the safe and the contents. We ask that the community keep an eye out for the safe, photo negatives and cassette tapes."
