Jennifer Lawrence Swaps Dior For Jason Wu, With Dubious Results

JLaw Almost Repeats Her Oscar Fall!

Dior is out and Jason Wu is in!

Jennifer Lawrence temporarily ditched her longtime go-to-designer (JLaw is the face of Dior) at the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" world premiere on Saturday in New York City and almost took a tumble in the process.

In Dior's place? A velvet jacquard Jason Wu bias slip gown with spaghetti straps and a figure-hugging silhouette.

While we applaud the Oscar winner for breaking out of her comfort zone, we're not thrilled with her red carpet choice. The fabric looks quite heavy on the 23-year-old and the dress itself seems dated circa the '90s.

Not that the Sexiest Woman in the World doesn't look amazing, because she does, but we were hoping to see "The Hunger Games" star wear something a bit more exciting and with more colour. Fortunately, JLaw's hair and makeup were spot on: a glossy red lip and smouldering eyes were totally sexy and her growing-out pixie hair was styled into a sleek sideswept 'do.

But we have to wonder: what do the folks at Dior think of Jenn's switch of allegiance?
