Kendall Moore, Craig Wood Dead After Vehicle Plunges Into Lake Near Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Prince George RCMP are confirming the bodies of two people have been recovered from a vehicle pulled from a rural lake this afternoon.

Police say officers co-ordinated the removal from Kwitzil Lake and found a male and female both dead in the vehicle.

UPDATE: The victims have been identified as Duchess Park Secondary School students Kendall Moore and Craig Wood, reports Global News.

Officers say the investigation began early this morning when they received reports of a vehicle going into the lake — more commonly known as Gravel Pit Lake — west of Prince George.

Police, firefighters and paramedics attended the scene.

Officers say hundreds were attending a party in the area throughout the night.

The BC Coroners are now investigating.
