Regina stadium design to be unveiled Thursday

The design for Regina's new football stadium will be unveiled Thursday morning, according to a notice from the city.

Strictly speaking, the notice from the city simply references "an historical announcement".

However, the same phrase has been used - in the past - when officials have provided advance notice of upcoming stadium news.

As well, the city said that officials from the city, the province and the Saskatchewan Roughriders will be on hand.

Here is what is planned:

- News media will be briefed early Thursday morning. The information provided can not be released until 10 a.m.

- At 10 a.m., a formal announcement will be made.

- At 11:30 a public Open House, at the EventPlex will start.

People interested in attending the Open House will need to use either Lewvan Drive or Princess Street to enter the Evraz Place grounds because Elphinstone Street is closed due to construction ... of the new stadium.
