How Does LeeAnne McRobb Know Rob Ford? (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

How Does LeeAnne McRobb Know Rob Ford?

LeeAnne McRobb, a 36-year-old woman from Muskoka Lakes Township in Ontario, has made national news after being charged with impaired driving in Rob Ford's car on Tuesday.

But precisely who she is, or how the Toronto mayor knows her, is a mystery.

Carly Verhoeven and Matthew Sitler, two staffers from MooseFM in Muskoka, captured video Wednesday of McRobb at Gravenhurst’s Northland Towing and Recovery, which is where Ford's vehicle currently sits after it was impounded.

An employee at Northland told the Toronto Star that the woman showed him ID confirming that she is McRobb.

The video, which was uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday, shows her approaching a Northland employee at the cash register.

Their exchange goes like this:

LeeAnne McRobb: I like your watch, that's a nice watch.

Northland Employee: Thank you.

LeeAnne McRobb: Very nice. I don't know where mine is, it's driving me crazy, not having a watch is not good. I've got a really nice one too. I think I left it at GreeneStone, in Rob Ford's room, my watch. But whatever, I'll get it later.

Matthew Sitler: Rob Ford?

LeeAnne McRobb: Yeah, it's crazy.

Matthew Sitler: How could it be in Rob Ford's room?

LeeAnne McRobb: Oh, whatever, don't worry about it. Just, just kidding.

McRobb then tells the man at the register that she was busted for drinking and driving and has to retrieve some possessions from a vehicle that is not hers.

She and the man then walk into a car yard, followed by Verhoeven and Sitler. McRobb then addresses the camera directly.

LeeAnne McRobb: Hey there, pretty girl! You should not be filming, eh? No, I'm not talking to you.

Matthew Sitler: What were you doing driving Rob Ford's car?

LeeAnne McRobb: Uh, who said I was driving his car?

Matthew Sitler: You just said the info might be in Rob's room.

LeeAnne McRobb: Oh, you know what, that was, I didn't say anything about ... not at all.

Carly Verhoeven: You were just talking about having a watch with him.

LeeAnne McRobb: Everybody knows him, he's on the news.

Matthew Sitler: But you were driving his car yesterday?

LeeAnne McRobb: Oh ... (shakes her head)

Matthew Sitler: Are you staying in rehab with Rob Ford?

LeeAnne McRobb: No, I'm not anymore, I was, but I'm out of there.

Matthew Sitler: You were. So where were you staying?

LeeAnne McRobb: It doesn't matter.

A second video showing McRobb was posted to YouTube later on Wednesday. It begins with an unidentified woman telling her to be quiet.

In the video, McRobb says that Ford is doing "top notch" in rehab, and responds "yeah" when asked if she has good things to say about him.

Asked how she ended up driving his car, McRobb answers, "that's for me to know, you guys don't need to know."

Ford is staying at the GreeneStone treatment facility, according to the Toronto Star.

The newspaper quoted Newstalk 1010 saying that McRobb is a former GreeneStone patient, and that she allegedly told people there that she may have left something in Ford's room.

CBC reporter Dave Seglins tweeted that McRobb was a patient at the same rehab facility as Rob Ford, but that she was discharged five to six days ago. She had crashed her own car recently, an unnamed source told him.

McRobb was found behind the wheel of Ford's Escalade near the Glen Orchard General Store on Tuesday, MooseFM reported.

She is due to appear in court on June 17, said The Toronto Sun.

Coun. Doug Ford, the Toronto mayor's brother, told CP24 that he doesn't know who she is, and hadn't heard anything about the black Cadillac Escalade being impounded.
