We always knew Whistler was great, and it appears that the rest of the world agrees.
The B.C. resort town has been named the best ski resort in the world by Ultratravel UK magazine on Monday. The annual reader survey honours the cream of the crop in 20 categories ranging from the best hotel in the world to the best city in the world.
"The success of Whistler is a result of our combined efforts as a community and a resort," Barrett Fisher, Tourism Whistler’s president and CEO, said in a press release. "We are fortunate to have a strong business community that is aligned in their commitment to service excellence."
Ultratravel UK is distributed with the Saturday edition of London's Daily Telegraph.
