An addiction treatment centre in Bala, Ont. has confirmed that Rob Ford is a patient there after eTalk tweeted what it calls the first photo of the Toronto mayor in rehab on Friday.
GreeneStone Clinic Muskoka Inc. released a statement on Friday confirming, with Ford's consent, that the mayor is undergoing treatment at its facility.
We ask that the public and the media respect the privacy of all the patients at GreeneStone, to ensure they receive the most comprehensive and effective treatment.
We take our patient care and confidentiality very seriously and as a result will not be commenting further on this matter.
eTalk's photo shows Ford walking outside in a University of Texas Longhorns jacket:
The photo emerged just two days after Muskoka woman LeeAnne McRobb was charged with impaired driving in Ford's Cadillac Escalade.
McRobb was filmed telling reporters that she was in rehab with Ford, but that she wasn't there anymore.
