Ontario Election 2014: Tim Hudak Promises 10 Per Cent Income Tax Cut After Books Balanced

CP

WOODBRIDGE, Ont. - Tim Hudak is holding out the promise of a 10 per cent cut in personal income tax down the road.

The Progressive Conservative leader says the cut in provincial tax would be phased in after a Tory government balances the budget in two years.

Hudak says that will be worth about $825 for a family making $70,000 a year.

He says more household spending will help create 47,000 new jobs.

The Liberals are accusing Hudak of "voodoo" economics.

They say his promise to create one-million new jobs over eight years is really off by a factor of eight.
