Montreal Cop In Hot Water Over Photo With Woman On Lap

Montreal Cop Busted In Compromising Position

A Montreal police officer is in hot water after being photographed in his cruiser with a woman on his lap.

Leila Saad snapped the photo on Sunday evening. She told CTV News she noticed the car parked in an alley near Saint Catherine Streetafter it ignored a driver traveling in the wrong direction on a one-way.

Saad told CJAD that after she snapped the picture she saw a second officer exit the back seat of the vehicle with woman.

Police spokesman Ian Lafrenière initially told CJAD that the force initially thought the photo was a fake, but reevaluated their position when another witness came forward.

CJAD published this video allegedly showing the officers and the women after the photo was taken.

The officer photographed in the front seat has now been disciplined. Lafreniere said the sanctions could include a suspension from duty.

"For us, this is completely unacceptable," Lafreniere said in an interview Wednesday evening.

He said police are now investigating what led to the incident and where the officer's partner was.

Lafreniere also said the woman was not naked and that no sexual act as has been reported.

"We take this seriously," Lafreniere said. "A lot of police officers are not happy now because it's extremely bad for their job, their professionalism. This is not all the force. This is not the way officers are working in Montreal. This is one case."
