Did Mariah Carey just create the most fashionable hashtag of all time?
The original diva (or just OD for short) posted an Instagram pic on Friday morning which showed her riding the New York City subway in a sparkly gown and captioned the pic, "Glimpses of our joyride on the 1 train #subwayincouture." Yep, Mariah totally trumped Vogue's #theworldsmosttalkedaboutcouple.
In the pic, the 45-year-old "Butterfly" singer flashed a toned leg from beneath a stunning aqua Atelier Versace dress that featured a leg slit and a plunging neckline that left little to the imagination. Silver fingerless gloves, flashy earrings and big sunnies completed the "Elusive Chanteuse's" fabulous ensemble.
Although we're not sure why Mimi ditched her limo for a ride on the subway (is that why she was so late for the World Music Awards?), we're so glad she did, because, well, just look at the photo below:
Mariah captioned the pic, "Laughs pon de subway."
In fact, Nick Cannon's wife was on her way to the 2014 Fresh Air Fund Gala on Thursday, where she walked the red carpet and showed off her new album, "I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse."
