Katy Perry reportedly has a crush on Britain's Prince Harry.
The singer, who already wears the crown for pop princess, could be after a real shot at royalty, with friends revealing she's reached out to Harry and invited him to hang out.
Katy has apparently extended an invitation for the Prince to visit her when she touches down on American soil, after completing the British leg of her The Prismatic World Tour.
"Katy has always had a thing for Prince Harry," an insider divulged to British newspaper Daily Star.
“So she decided to be cheeky and invite him to spend American Independence Day with her and friends in July."
The source says 29-year-old Katy was unfazed by the lack of direct contact she has with Harry, choosing instead to seek the help of someone who knows the ginger prince.
"The message was sent through a mutual pal, and was very casual. Katy didn't want it to look like she was asking him on a date.
“But she has always had a thing for Englishmen..." the friend added.
Katy had a highly publicized marriage, and then divorce, with British funnyman Russell Brand. Since the union broke down in 2011 Katy has dated singer John Meyer, and was most recently linked to DJ Diplo.
There have also been rumours that her relationship with Robert Pattinson could be more than just friends. The Twilight actor was spotted in the crowd at her London gig on Tuesday night singing along to her pop hits, which further fuelled speculation.
Harry has also found himself back on the market after his two-year relationship with Cressida Bonas came to an end last month, though friends are said to be hopeful that a reunion could be on the cards.
