How many times have you been told not to eat large meals after 8 p.m. or that cracking your knuckles could basically screw up your joints? If you have a hard time distinguishing between health facts and myths, putting it into pictures could do just the trick.
In a new infographic by U.K.-based healthcare supply company Gompels, the site takes a look at the most common health myths all of us have heard at least once in our lives. Everything from cold myths (do you really need vitamins?) to more timely things about going out in the sun, the graphic has a wide range of health topics and solutions.
Although most myths are harmless, ignoring other ones can lead to health bigger problems. While something like avoiding all chocolate over the fear of acne seems kind of silly, myths about ignoring how often you poop can lead to other health concerns, according to LifeHacker. When in doubt, always talk to your doctor.
