ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - A Labrador-based contracting company has been awarded a $7.7-million tender to upgrade a highway in the region.
The provincial government says Grey Rock Services will repair about 15 kilometres of Route 500 located in western Labrador.
The government says the work will begin in the coming weeks and is expected to wrap up in 2015.
The upgrades were announced as part of the last provincial budget.
