UPDATE: Police have found a long gun in one of the salvage yard's buildings and are "winding down" their investigation, according to the Halifax Chronicle-Herald.

Police surrounded a business in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia following a report of an armed man.

Police were called to Dartmouth Metals, a salvage yard in an industrial park near Halifax. The facility's owner told the Halifax Chronicle-Herald there were reports of one or more people on the roof with a weapon, but no one could confirm them.

At 2:15 p.m. Atlantic time, three officers put a man in handcuffs, but then released him when it was determined he was a worker, the Chronicle-Herald reports.
