Ed The Sock voted for the Ontario Liberals Thursday, but probably not for the reasons you think.
He did it to help the Progressive Conservatives.
"Conservatism is a valid and necessary voice in searching for solutions to our ills, but not when it is run on stale ideas based on inflexible doctrine that values ideological purity over facts," he wrote.
He called Hudak's signature Million Jobs Plan "bullshit" based on faulty math.
"Best for everyone if Hudak goes home and the conservatives choose someone whose ideas didn't get freeze-dried when Lewinsky jokes were still all the rage," he wrote.
But Kathleen Wynne's Grits didn’t escape unscathed.
Ed wrote that the party was getting his vote for lack of better options and that Ontario voters deserve better.
Still, the comedian wrote the "mistakes" of former Liberal premier Dalton McGuinty shouldn't necessarily reflect on Wynne.
"Anyone who has ever been in a job where a new boss takes over knows that they are rarely exactly like the previous one," he wrote. "In this case, she's better."

One Liberal commentator said on Twitter it was a better endorsement than the one Hudak received from The Globe and Mail.
