SYLVAN LAKE, Alta. - RCMP say they arrested a driver whose blood-alcohol level was four times the legal limit.

Officers say a speeding Porsche rear-ended a Volkswagen Thursday night near the central Alberta community of Sylvan Lake.

The Volkswagen then spun out of control and crashed into an oncoming semi truck, but no one was seriously hurt.

The driver of the Porsche, a 39-year-old Sylvan Lake man, was arrested at the scene.

Robert Ritchie is charged with impaired driving, driving a car with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit and dangerous driving.

He is to appear in Red Deer provincial court on June 27.
