Man charged in the death of 5-month-old boy

A Toronto man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a five-month-old boy.

Police said they responded to medical complaint call at a hospital in Toronto around 6 p.m. Saturday, June 7.

It is a alleged that  five-month-old Ye-Lin Huang died after suffering significant injuries.

Huo Bin “Jack” Shen, 28, was arrested on Friday June 13 and was scheduled to appear in court the same day. 

Police said the Shen is the boyfriend of the infant's mother.  

It is alleged that Shen dropped his girlfriend and the baby off at Scarborough General hospital on Saturday. The baby was transferred to the Sick Kids Hospital the same day.
