Newfoundland and Labrador nurses' union ratifies four-year agreement

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - The government of Newfoundland and Labrador says a new contract has been ratified by the union representing about 5,700 registered nurses in the province.

The four-year deal between the government and the Newfoundland and Labrador Nurses' Union will see salaries frozen for the first two years.

That will be followed by annual increases of two per cent and three per cent.

The nurses will also receive a signing bonus of $1,400.
