Police probe 'suspicious incident' at Gerrard and Coxwell

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help investigating a suspicious incident involving a young girl. 

Police say on Friday at about 12:40 p.m. an eight-year-old girl was approached by a man while walking in the area of Gerrard St. East and Coxwell Avenue. 

According to police the man, who was behind the wheel of an older model silver or grey hatchback at the time, started a conversation with the girl, called her towards him and tried to convince her to look inside the vehicle. 

The girl walked away and police were notified. 

The man is described as white, between 25 and 35 years old, clean shaven, with an average build, blond hair and many tattoos on his arms. He was wearing a short sleeve T-shirt and jeans.
