Woman in convertible critically injured in TMR collision

A 53-year-old woman is in critical condition after the convertible she was driving collided with a black pickup truck early Sunday morning in the Town of Mount Royal.

The collision happened at the corner of Jean-Talon Street West and Rockland Road at 6:30 a.m.

The pickup truck was towing a trailer behind it.

Its driver, a man in his 30s, was not injured and is being questioned by police.

According to Const. Simon Delorme of the Montreal police, the man was on his way to work at the time of the accident.

Investigators are on the scene trying to piece together what happened. Delorme said they suspect one of the two drivers ran a red light.
