Angus, Ont., tornado: Kathleen Wynne tours damaged subdision

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne visits Angus, Ont., today after a tornado touched down earlier in this week, damaging about 100 homes.

Wynne is touringthe areas of the community — located about 100 kilometres northwest of Toronto and 30 kilometres southwest of Barrie — where a state of emergency remains in effect.

Tuesday's tornado overturned vehicles and stripped roofs off some houses, but only three minor injuries were reported, something the local mayor has called "a miracle."

Officials continue to inspect damaged residences to determine if and when residents can return home.
