MONCTON, N.B. - A new dam and reservoir in a major New Brunswick city has officially opened.
The City of Moncton says the $43.2 million project on Tower Road double's the region's water storage capacity at the Turtle Creek dam.
Moncton Mayor George LeBlanc says the dam and reservoir help ensure that the city always has clean water.
Most of the project was funded by the city, but the provincial and federal governments each provided about $9.8 million.
