B.C. Teachers Strike 2014 Explained In YouTube Video

WATCH: Why B.C. Teachers Are So Angry

The contract dispute between B.C. teachers and the province is a long and complicated one that includes two significant court rulings, back and forth accusations of bad-faith bargaining, government lockouts, and the current teacher strike.

To boil it all down comes "Why B.C. Teachers Are So Angry," a YouTube video created by Andy Nez, a Vancouver actor and substitute high school teacher.

In the video, Nez personifies B.C. teachers, the provincial government, and the B.C. Supreme Court in trying to explain how the impasse got to this point.

"Sub teaching is like acting every day with a new audience," Nez, who teaches physics and math in Surrey, writes on his website. He has appeared in TV shows including "Fringe," "Supernatural," "Stargate: Atlantis," and the movie "5Nal Destination."
