You already know which foods are Canadian, but just for the sake of pure salivating satisfaction, we'll just list off a few of our favourites: Butter tarts. Sushi pizza. Poutine. OK, we'll stop now.

What you may not have realized, however, is that many of the fast food chains that have been imported from our neighbours to the south have taken a cue from our Canadian offerings as well. That's right -- the great American food groups do, in many cases, have Canada to thank.

Now they might not be the healthiest of options, and you may know a little shop down the corner from you that has a homemade version, but it's nice to know our (giant, amazing) country is influencing some regional flavours at the chains too.
