Dave Bolland lured to Panthers by former GM Dale Tallon

Dale Tallon has reunited himself with centre Dave Bolland.

The Florida Panthers general manager on Tuesday signed Bolland to a reported five-year free-agent contract worth $27.5 million US.

Bolland, who had eight goals and 12 points in 23 regular-season games for the Toronto Maple Leafs this past season, broke into the NHL in the 2006-07 season with Chicago, where Tallon was GM.

The 28-year-old Bolland missed 56 games with the Maple Leafs after suffering a severed tendon in the back of his left ankle on Nov. 2 when he was cut by the skate blade of Vancouver forward Zack Kassian.
