'Big Brother 16': Joey The First Houseguest Evicted (VIDEO)

WATCH: Worst 'Big Brother' Contestant Ever?

"Big Brother 16" has been an entertaining ride. This first week has been full of strategy (often bad), alliance-making (stupid) and crying.

For the first "Big Brother" eviction, Joey and Paola were both up for elimination, and with a whopping 13 votes, one of them was the first person evicted from the house.

Julie: "With 13 votes to evict, Joey, you are evicted from the 'Big Brother' house. HOW HARD IS THIS?"

Joey: "It’s hard, but I think being in there is harder."

Joey walked out of the house with a smile on her face, almost relieved that she didn't have to be in the game anymore, saying being in the "Big Brother" house brought her back to the insecurities of middle school, since people playing the game become secretive and cliquey.

From what we could gather, Joey seemed very likeable but just too honest for her own good. The main reason for her demise was revealing that she was in an all-girl alliance, though her alter-ego Alex (totally bizarre) probably helped grease the wheels.

As Heavy.com notes, the vote for Joey was unanimous, which we’re sure is pretty tough to swallow, along with being the first person of the season voted out.

And fans were sad to see Joey go so soon. She was popular with the viewing audience and even got chosen to be part of Team America, a secret three-person alliance voted to carry out tasks by the public. But as Big Brother Access puts it, she royally screwed herself over.

Fans of the show on Twitter are hopeful though, that one day Joey will be back for a "gone too soon" season.

"Big Brother 16" airs on Global at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesdays and 9 p.m. ET on Thursdays. It airs on CBS in the U.S.
