Fact: the foods that made you squirm as a child make you light up as an adult.
If you were a picky eater growing up, we all know (well, hope anyway), you left your annoying eating habits in your youth. Foods that were supposed to be good for you were shunned, while sugary treats and junk food were all the rage. But when adulthood and reality hit, most of us started making healthier changes and tried to incorporate more leafy greens, stinky fishes and delicate cheeses to our diets.
One survey showed the top foods on today's children's "hate list" include avocados, cabbage and other green veggies, according to the Daily Mail. Unsurprisingly, junk like chocolate cookies, ice cream and of course, chocolate itself, were the favourites.
Now we don't know about you, but most of us didn't have avocados as kids. We should have been so lucky.
Some doctors are now are even categorizing this type of selective eating as an eating disorder for both children and adults.
