A body was found in the Bow River late Saturday afternoon, but police say it's too soon to determine whether it's that of a young Calgary man who has been missing for two weeks.

According to Okotoks RCMP, fishermen found the body and were able to retrieve it with the help of the Foothills Fire Department and the High River Fire Department.

RCMP are unable to confirm at this time that the body is Justin McNeil, who has been missing since June 22 when he was swept away while swimming in the Highwood River.

Police, however, say they have been in contact with McNeil's family.

Crews have been searching for McNeil over the past weeks using helicopters and shoreline patrols.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
