Accio More Harry Potter! J.K. Rowling Releases New Story On Pottermore

Good News Potter Fans!

Rejoice Harry Potter fans for it turns out "the boy who lived" is well, still living.

Not only that, the protagonist in J.K. Rowling's beloved children's book series now has his own family, a solid career in wizard law enforcement and is kind of going grey just as he turns 34. But let's cut the guy some slack. You'd have a few grey strands if you had to defeat "He Who Shall Not Be Named".

The news comes after Rowling released the latest story in the series on Tuesday on her site, Pottermore. The latest snippet into Potter's life comes seven years after the release of the seventh and last Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows.

The 1,500-word yarn takes the form as a column penned by gossip columnist Rita Skeeter, a returning character from the series. Also returning are Potter's friends, Ron and Hermione and their children. The story is something of a reunion for the franchise's beloved characters as they all meet up at the Quidditch World Cup.

Harry's wife, Ginny, is also mentioned in the story, working as a journalist covering the sporting event. While Rowling has vowed not to write any more books, she continues to update Pottermore with more short stories.

What's more, the U.K. writer announced earlier this year she is writing three Potter-inspired films, the first of which will be "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them."
